The Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC) on August 29, 2022, issued the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Guidelines for establishment of forum for redressal of Grievances of the Consumers Electricity Ombudsman and Consumer Advocacy) (First amendment), Regulations, 2022 to further amend the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Guidelines for establishment of forum for redressal of Grievances of the Consumers Electricity Ombudsman and Consumer Advocacy Regulations 2020.
The following amendments have been made:
• Clause 4.1 (b) which states ‘The Forum shall consist of three Members one each from following streams’ has been substituted.
• Under 9 (1) Explanation clause 10(1) will be read as clause 9(1).
• Clause 11.4 and clause 11.7 which states ‘Procedure to be followed by the Forum on admission of complaint’ has been substituted.
• Clause 16 (2) and clause 16 (6) which states ‘Appointment and tenure’ has been substituted.
This notification will come into force from the date of their publication in Jharkhand Rajpatra.
