The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on September 13, 2022 has issued Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) First Amendment Regulations, 2022 to further amend the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011. This shall come into force on April 1, 2023.
The following has been amended namely: -
• In Regulation 2.4 which states “Cereals and Cereal Products” the following sub-regulation 2.4.39 has been inserted namely: -
“Fermented Soybean Curd And Fermented Soybean Curd (made with S. thermophillus + L. bulgaricus)”
