The Government of Meghalaya on September 13, 2022, notifies that Meghalaya Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Taxation (Amendment) Bill, 2022 will further amend Meghalaya Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Taxation Act.
The amendments are as follows-
•Insertion of new Section 3A which is Registration and Enrolment.
•Amendment of Section 4 which is Rate of Tax.
•Amendment of Section 6, new clause (aa) Additional Commissioner of Taxes and (ab) Joint Commissioner of Taxes will be inserted.
•Amendment of Section 12 after sub-section (4), subsection (5) will be inserted.
•The schedule will be omitted.
It will come to force at once.
