The Government of Karnataka on September 28, 2022, notified that the Karnataka Land Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2022, further amended the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964.
The following amendments have been made-
•Amendment of section 94A.- In section 94A of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1964), in sub-section (4), for the words, brackets, and figures "within a period of one year from the date of commencement of the Karnataka Land Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2018", the words, brackets and figures "within a period of one year from the date of commencement of the Karnataka Land Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2022" shall be substituted.
•Repeal and savings-
(1) The Karnataka Land Revenue (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022 (Karnataka Ordinance No 04 of 2022) is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act, as amended by this Act.
