The University Grants Commission (UGC) on September 28, 2022, emphasized in National Education Policy-2020 and that equity and inclusion are the cornerstone of all educational decisions to ensure that all students can thrive in the education system. With the flexibility in the selection of subjects and courses, an Inclusive Pedagogy characterized by the use of multiple modes of delivery, addressing various learning styles and learning needs of Divyangjans and students with specific learning disabilities(SLDS), needs to be promoted at all levels of education.
Considering the significant recommendations of NEP 2020 towards the teaching of Divyangjans and SLDS, UGC has prepared/framed guidelines entitled, "Credit Based on Pedagogical Aspects for Teaching Divyangjans and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDS)".
Suggestions on the draft guidelines from all stakeholders are invited by October 25, 2022, on the University Activity Monitoring Portal (UAMP) of UGC at https://uamp.ugc.ac.in/.
