The Government of Bihar on September 30, 2022 has issued Notification regarding the formula for Variable Dearness Allowance.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Schedule – 1 (A) states the following namely: -
“Half Yearly Average of the year 2022 Jan.-Jun.50079.62/6 = 8346.60”
• Schedule – 1(B) states “Sales Promotion Employment”
1. Unskilled - 342.00 Perday
2. Semi-Skilled – 353.00 Perday
3. Skilled – 438.00 Perday
4. Highly Skilled – 532.00 Perday
5. Supervisory/Clerical – 9867.00 Per Month
• These rates of Variable Dearness Allowance will be based on the average of All India Consumer Price Index on which the minimum rates of wages have been fixed/revised in the above scheduled employment
• Variable Dearness Allowance on the basis of the average index of January-June, 2022 will be payable at the aforesaid rates from October 01, 2022
• The increase or decrease in the amount of variable Dearness Allowance will be based on the average of All India Consumer Price Index number for every six months and will be applicable after the expiry of three months after said period of six months.
