The Labour Department, Chattisgarh on September 28, 2022 has issued All India Consumer Price Index for Various Departments under The Minimum Wages Act, 1948. This shall come into force from October 01, 2022.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The following 45 Industries have their VDA changed namely: -
1. Power Plant
2. Cement Industry
3. Building and other construction work
4. Brick Kiln
5. Construction and Maintenance of Roads or in building and construction works
6. Engineering
7. Construction and Maintenance of irrigation works
8. Shop, commercial institution, residential hotel, restaurant and theatre
9. Employment in educational institution and private training center
10. Hospital, Nursing Home, Pathology
11. Chemicals and Pharmaceutical
12. Employed in rice mill, flour mill or pulse mill
13. Food items including cakes, biscuits, confectionery, ice-cream, ice candy and employment in the manufacture of drinks
14. Plastics Industry
15. Planning in power loom including sizing and processing
16. Public Motor Transport
17. Agriculture
18. Tobacco (incuding Beedi)
