The Government of Madhya Pradesh on September 30, 2022, revised the Variable Dearness Allowance for domestic workers have been fixed/revised in the scheduled employment under the Minimum Wages Act 1948.
The revised rates are for the following scheduled employment-
•Employment in a cotton ginning and processing factory
•Employment in any forestry and forest produce
•Employment in the manufacture or maintenance of any parts or construction work in any public motor transport
•Employment in an engineering industry
•Employment in the construction and maintenance of any irrigation works
•Employment in a chemical and pharmaceutical
•Employment in a sawmill
•Employment in an oil mill
•Employment in a Rice Mill or Flour Mill or Dal Mill
•Employment in a Murrah Poha Factory
•Employment in any stone-breaking or stone-grinding employment in any shop, commercial establishment, residential hotel, restaurant, and theatre
•Employment in a press by a cement pole or cement
•Employment in a private educational institution, including coaching centers
•Employment in a readymade garment manufacturing facility
•Employment in an automobile workshop and garages operated for repair
•Employment in cold storage (cold)
•Employment in a shop or commercial establishment
•Employment in a hotel restaurant and restaurant
•Employment in cinema halls or theaters
•Employment in the office of an advocate or attorney
•Employment in any hair-cutting salon
•Employment in the manufacture of any fertilizer or pesticide
•Employment in any drilling operation or maintenance of tube wells Employment in any electronics or allied work Employment in any petrol or diesel pumps
The payment of variable Dearness Allowance on the basis of the average index of January – June will be payable at the mentioned rates from October 01, 2022, and thereafter increase or decrease in the amount of Variable Dearness Allowance will be based on the average of All India Consumer Price Index number for every six months and will be applicable after the expiry of three months after the said period of six months.
