The Government of Maharashtra on December 02, 2015, notifies the Factories (Maharashtra Amendment) Act 2015, to further amend the Factories Act, 1948.
The following amendments have been made-
•Amendment in section 65 which specifies Safety measures for pressure plants and vessels operated under pressure over atmospheric pressure.
•Amendment in section 66 which specifies Excessive Weights.
•Amendment in section 79 which specifies Canteens.
•Amendment in section 85 which means Foodstuffs to be served and prices to be charged.
•After section 92, section 92A will be inserted which is compounding of certain offences
•Amendment in section 105 which specifies Leave with Wages Register.
•After Third Schedule, the Fourth Schedule which is a List of compounding offences will be added.
It will come into force on December 02, 2015.
