DoT on the constitution of Telecom Startups-MSMEs Mission (TSuM) and a Facilitation Cell for focused engagement with Startups/MSMEs in Digital Communication Technologies

Commercial ComplianceThe Department of Technology (DoT) on October 11, 2022, announced the establishment of such facilitation through the “Telecom Startups-MSMEs Mission (TSuM)” under the Technology Vertical of DoT with a Facilitation Cell under the Mission with reference to DoT’s OM No. 1_TSUM/2022-SRI dated August 19, 2022.

The key action areas of TSuM are as stated: 

o R&D Facilitation for Startups, MSMEs including Standardization, Trials/PoC, Spectrum, Funding, etc. 

o Enabling facilitation and coordination with DoT HQ units and field units 

o Facilitation of relevant issues with other Ministries / State Governments / Agencies 

o Market enablement, handholding as may be necessary 

o Any other areas to support Startups and MSMEs in line with the objectives of NDCP

A brochure on key initiatives from DoT and TSuM in promoting Startups and MSMEs is enclosed as a ready reckoner.

The Startups and MSMEs are encouraged to reach out to the following TSuM nodal points for necessary facilitation to strengthen the R&D ecosystem (preferably through the upcoming Bharat Digicom Innovation Networks portal or directly via email: [email protected]/[email protected])
