The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on October 10, 2022 has issued Notification regarding the Classification of Medical Device pertaining to Dental.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The medical devices have been classified based on the intended use, risk associated with the device and other prescribed parameters.
• The following has been stated in relation to the list: -
a. The General intended use given against each of the devices is for guidance to the applicants intend to furnish an application of import or manufacture of medical devices under the provisions of Medical Devices Rules, 2017.
