The Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEB) on July 19, 2022, issued an order regarding the revision of tariff for 2022-23 and implementation of the retail tariff schedule issued by the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission for revising electricity charges of various categories of consumers with effect from June 26, 2022, to March 31, 2023.
It is stated that the tariff order issued by KSERC and the detailed procedure is to be followed for the smooth and speedy implementation of the tariff order. It is recommended for levying Electricity duty from the consumers as per the Kerala Electricity Duty Act, 1963. It was also recommended for continuing the prevailing subsidy ordered by the Government as per Section 65 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and to intimate the matter with the Government of Kerala.
