Labour ComplianceThe Government of Delhi on October 12, 2022 has issued Exemption to certain Establishments by amending Schedule-I which specifies “Exemptions” under the Delhi Shops and Establishments Act, 1954.

The Establishments have been provided Exemptions under the following sections namely: -

• Section 14 states that No Young persons and women shall work after day time which is between 9 P.M. and 7 A.M.

• Section 15 states No shop or commercial establishment should open before or close later than the prescribed government time.

• Section 16 states that every shop and establishment shall remain closed on a ‘close day’.

These exemptions are subjected to certain conditions.
