EHS Compliance The Government of Andhra Pradesh on October 12, 2022, notifies of an amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land, and Trees Rules, 2004.

The following amendment has been made-

•In the said rules for Rule 20 which specifies water cess the following shall be substituted, namely-

"20. Water charges: Authority may levy groundwater Extraction charges on the consumption of water and discharge of effluent by any industry, and the amount of groundwater extraction Charges shall be as fixed by the authority from time to time.".
