The Disaster Response & Fire Services Department, Andhra Pradesh on September 30, 2022 has issued Notification for Industries regarding Fire Safety.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The following are the Fire Safety Measures:
1. General Fire Safety Guidelines –
a. NBC 2016 prescribes fire safety measures for small-scale industries.
b. The Installation of appropriate fire safety equipment in compliance with HARA report, safety Audit under MSIHC (Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemicals) Rules, 1989 and Emergency Evacuation Plan and Disaster Emergency Management Plan (DEMP) is necessary.
2. Mock Drills: Every three months’ fire mock drills to be conducted and all the workers and Management should sign a document certifying the following and keep in record.
