CBIC amends rate of certain Excisable Goods

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on October 15, 2022 has issued amendment to Notification No. 18/2022-Central Excise dated July 19, 2022 which states “Exemption of certain excisable goods” under the Central Excise Act, 1944. This has come into force on October 16, 2022.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The rate of Goods at Sl No. 1 which states Petroleum Crude is now – Rs. 11,000 per tonne

• The rate of Goods at Sl No. 2 which Aviation Turbine Fuel is now – Rs. 3.50 per litre
