The University Grants Commission (UGC) on October 21, 2022, issued a notification regarding guidelines for basic facilities and amenities for a safe, secure environment for women and women cells (for sensitization, policy implementation, monitoring, and grievance redressal) in higher education institutes in light of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Providing a safe, secure, and violence-free environment to all students, particularly women students is the utmost responsibility of the institutions. To ensure this, the commission has issued various instructions and advisories from time to time.
