Industry Specific Compliance

The Government of Kerala on October 22, 2022 has issued notification regarding Formaldehyde Limits set for fish and fish products.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The upper limit of formaldehyde is 4 milligrams per kilogram for most sea fish and freshwater fish. 

• The presence of 8 milligrams of formaldehyde will be permitted in other categories of fish. 

• Do not exceed one milligram in fish products.
