The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on October 14, 2022 has issued the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022 to further amend the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules, 2017. This has come into force on October 14, 2022.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 5 which states “Fees for application” has the following inserted namely: -
“Provided that an applicant shall not be liable to pay application fee for registration of warehouses storing only agricultural goods, for a period of one year from the commencement of the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022.”
