The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on October 27, 2022, issued an order to extend the date of implementation of an order related to the requirement of a Health Certificate accompanied with the import of food consignments dated August 03, 2022, and it has been subsequently clarified vide order dated September 26, 2022.
The comments were sought from the WTO members and the comments received from the trading partners in respect of implementation time, it has been decided that the date of implementation of said order will be extended by 2 months and the order will be now effective from January 01, 2023.
