The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on October 26, 2022 has issued the Order Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Regulation of Controlled Substances) Amendment Order, 2022 to further amend the Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Regulation of Controlled Substances) Amendment Order, 2013. This has come into force on October 26, 2022.
The amendments are as follows:
• Addition under the schedule of the Order 2013:
a) Under the Schedule B, after serial number 23, few entries following serial numbers shall be added.

25. 1-boc-4-AP
26. Norfentanyl
27. Alpha-phenylacetoacetonitrile (APAAN)
b) Under the Schedule C, after serial number 23 few entries following serial numbers shall be added.
25. 1-boc-4-AP.
26. Norfentanyl
27. Alpha-phenylacetoacetonitrile (APAAN)
24. 4-AP.
The order will be taken into consideration after the expiry of thirty days from the date on which copies of the Official Gazette in which the notification is published, are made available to the public ( November 25, 2022)
