The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) on November 22, 2022, published the Draft Insecticides (Amendment) Rules, 2022. To further amend the Insecticides Rules, 1971 This shall come into effect on December 22, 2022.
The Amendments are as under: -
• In rule 6, which states “Manner of registration” in sub-rule (2), “clause (i) and (ii)” shall be substituted with Table-I which states the “category of application” and the “fees payable for registration”
• In rule 6A, which states “issuance of duplicate registration certificate” the words “rupees one hundred” shall be substituted with the words “rupees five hundred”
• In rule 6B, which states “Addition, Deletion, and alteration to the certificate of registration” the words “rupees one hundred” shall be deleted and after the words “Labels and Leaflets” the following shall be inserted, namely: -
The fee shall be payable as given in Table-II
• In rule 7 which states “Appeals” in sub-rule „3‟ the words “rupees one thousand” shall be substituted by the words “rupees two thousand five hundred”.
Objections or suggestions which may be received from any person in respect of the said draft rules before the expiry of the aforesaid period of thirty days will be considered by the Central Government
