The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on December 24, 2022, issued a notification regarding the date on which provisions related to ‘contributions’ under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 shall come into force on January 01, 2023, in all the areas of Thiruvallur district, in addition to the already notified areas of the said district, in the State of Tamil Nadu.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In chapter IV which states “Contributions” the following sections shall come into force namely: -
(a)Section 38 to Section 43 and Section 45A to 45H.
•In chapter V which states “Benefits” the following sections shall come into force namely: -
(a)Section 46 to section 73.
•In chapter VI which states “Adjudication of Dispute and Claims” the following sections shall come into force namely: -
(a)sections 74, and 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of sections 76, 80, 82, and 83.
