EHS ComplianceThe Animal Husbandry & Dairying Department, Government of Haryana on January 04, 2023, issued a notification declaring the District Jind as a ‘controlled area’ for restriction of the movement of equine species under the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animal Act, 2019.

The following has been stated namely: -

• the Government of Haryana, hereby declares the District Jind as a “controlled area” for restriction of movement of equine species (horses, donkeys, mules) within or outside the district and bordering States to prevent, control, and contain the Glanders disease. 

• The holding of races, fairs, exhibitions, games, and gatherings of such animals in Jind District is also prohibited.
