Commercial ComplianceThe Government of Tamil Nadu on January 13, 2023, issued a notification to exempt all Battery Operated Vehicles from payment of motor vehicle tax.

The following has been stated namely: -

• All Battery Operated Vehicles, both Transport and Non-Transport (EVs) are exempted from payment of motor vehicle tax.

• This is from the period commencing from January 01, 2023, and ending with December 31, 2025
