The Government of Madhya Pradesh, on January 25, 2023, published the Madhya Pradesh Stores Purchase and Services Procurement Rules 2022 to further amend the Madhya Pradesh Stores Purchase and Services Procurement Rules 2015.
This shall come into effect on January 25, 2023
The following have been stated namely: -
• These rules have come into force to achieve efficiency, timeliness, economy, transparency and to promote Micro, and small enterprises and start-ups of the state.
• These Rules shall apply to the following namely: -
(i) All the departments of Madhya Pradesh
(ii) Government, Panchayats, and urban bodies
(iii) All undertakings with more than 50% shareholding in the Government
(iv) Corporations, Boards, marketing unions, cooperatives market boards, agricultural produce market committees.
(v) Body, institution, or agency as specified by the State Government.
• These Rules shall not apply to the activities of institutions where the material produced by handicraftsmen/ or artisans has been bought for sale.
• It defines various terminologies such as “Indenter”, “GeM”, “Reserved item” etc.
• It lays down provisions related to the competent authority to purchase.
• it specifies the contents of the maintenance contract.
