The Department of Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, Jharkhand on February 08, 2023, issued a notification regarding an amendment to Jharkhand Custom Milled Rice (Liability and Control) revised Order 2020.
The following amendments have been made namely: -
• In Para 3 clause (iv) (a) which states the following namely: -
“ if any affiliated mill is unwilling to undertake custom milling of paddy and the state Government feels that milling of paddy is necessary then it may handover paddy to such unwilling rice mill up to 30% of its milling capacity and such rice mill after the milling the converted paddy will be bound to be handed over to the Food Corporation of India / State Food Corporation as per the specification of this order, Also the rice mill will do 30% of milling of its milling for first for government work, otherwise the rice mill will”
The following provision is substituted by deleting the commercial work of namely: -
“ if any affiliated mill is unwilling to undertake custom milling of paddy and the state Government feels that milling of paddy is necessary then it may handover paddy to such unwilling rice mill up to 50% of its milling capacity and such rice mill after the milling the converted paddy will be bound to be handed over to the Food Corporation of India / State Food Corporation as per the specification of this order, Also the rice mill will do 50% of milling of its milling for first for government work, otherwise the rice mill will the commercial work of the mill will be banned”
•The remaining Paragraphs of the order shall remain unchanged.
