The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on February 21, 2023, notified e Income-tax Amendment (3rd Amendment) Rules, 2023 t further amend the Income-tax Rules,1962.
The following has been amended-
•16CC.Form of the report of audit prescribed under the tenth proviso to section 10(23C) shall be inserted.
•In the principal Rules, rule 17B shall be substituted with 17B.Audit report in the case of charitable or religious trusts, etc.
•In the principal Rules, for Form no. 10B, the ‘FORM No. 10B Audit report under clause (b) of the tenth proviso to clause (23C) of section 10 and sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of subsection (1) of section 12A of the Income-tax Act, 1961, in the case of a fund or trust or institution or any university or other educational institution or any hospital or other medical institution form’ shall be substituted.
•In the principal Rules, for Form No. 10BB, ‘FORM No. 10BB Audit report under clause (b) of the tenth proviso to clause (23C) of section 10 and sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 12A of the Income-tax Act, 1961, in the case of a fund or trust or institution or any university or other educational institution or any hospital or other medical institution which is required to be furnished under clause (b) of the tenth proviso to clause (23C) of section 10 or a trust or institution which is required to be furnished under sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of section 12A’ shall be substituted.
They shall come into force from April 01, 2023.
