The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on February 22, 2023, issued the details of the Minutes of the Monetary Policy Committee Meeting which was held during February 6-8, 2023.
The following are the minutes of the proceedings of the meeting which include, namely:
• the resolution adopted at the meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee;
• the vote of each member of the Monetary Policy Committee, ascribed to such member, on the resolution adopted in the said meeting; and
• the statement of each member of the Monetary Policy Committee on the resolution adopted in the said meeting.
The Committee reviewed the surveys conducted by the Reserve Bank to gauge consumer confidence, households’ inflation expectations, corporate sector performance, credit conditions, the outlook for the industrial, services, and infrastructure sectors, and the projections of professional forecasters.
The next meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is scheduled for April 3, 5, and 6, 2023.
