The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on February 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding the date on which provisions related to Contributions, Benefits, and Adjudications disputes and claims shall come into force in all the areas of Imphal East and Imphal West districts, in addition to the already notified areas of the said districts, in the State of Manipur.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In chapter IV which states “Contributions” the following sections shall come into force namely: -
(a) Section 38 to Section 43 and Section 45A to 45H.
• In chapter V which states “Benefits” the following sections shall come into force namely: -
(a) Section 46 to section 73.
• In chapter VI which states “Adjudication of Dispute and Claims” the following sections shall come into force namely: -
(a) sections 74, and 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of sections 76, 80, 82, and 83.
• These provisions shall come into force on March 01, 2023
