Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Government of Meghalaya on February 09, 2023, issued a notification to declare the declarations under Form ‘C’ as invalid and obsolete.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Under the Central Sales Tax (Meghalaya) Rules, 1957 it is notified that the declarations of Form ‘C’ are declared invalid and obsolete

• Dealers are cautioned against accepting the said forms for the purpose of trade.

• Anyone fraudulently found using the said forms will bind himself liable for action.

 

This will be in effect from January 30, 2023
