The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on March 04, 2023, fixed the registration fee for Dairies & Gaushalas and imposed of Fine/Challan in case of violation within the territorial limit of Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
The fixation of the Dairy registration fee to Rs.100/- yearly (per dairy cow) and fixation of Fine/Challan up to Rs.5000/- in case of violation.
It is stated that if any Dairy & Gaushala owner is found without proper registration from the Competent Authority after 30 days from the date of issuance of the public notice or is found violating, the violator will be liable to a fine up to Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five thousand) and may lead to impounding of the animal/s.
