EHS ComplianceThe Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on March 01, 2023, issued Directions for Implementation of the ban on Single Use Plastic (SUP).

The following has been issued for compliance namely: -

• To conduct SUP ban enforcement drive jointly with State UDD for four days a month during the period March-August, 2023. It is to be completed by the 25th of every month.

• The focus of the inspection should be on street vendors, local shops, wholesale markets, interstate borders, industries, bus depots, railway stations, airports, etc.

• To register all the concerned field officers (SPCB/PCC/State UDD) on the SUP Compliance monitoring portal

• To provide details w.r.t action taken against the defaulters

• To validate the auto-generated reports and submit the report by the last working day of every month.

Necessary action must be taken to ensure compliance with the Directions and an action taken report must be submitted before the 30th of every month till August, 2023, to the office.
