Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoFW) on March 15, 2023, issued the Dried Figs Grading and Marking Rules, 2023.

The following has been stated namely: -

• They shall apply to whole dried figs obtained from ripe fruits of varieties (cultivars) of Ficus carica L. intended for direct human consumption

• The Method of Marking has been stated in the notification

• The special conditions of the certificate of authorisation have been stated

• Schedule I and Schedule II have been stated

 

This has come into force on March 15, 2023.
