Energy Department, Uttarakhand on March 13, 2023, issued a notification regarding Chief Minister Solar Self Employment Scheme.
With the aim of providing self-employment opportunities to the unemployed, entrepreneurs of the state, such migrants of Uttarakhand who have returned to the state due to Covid-19, and small and marginal farmers under the name "Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme".
The scheme has been made effective for setting up solar power plants of Kio capacity. Under the scheme, all the permissible benefits are being provided to the selected beneficiaries under the MSY scheme (Chief Minister Self Employment Scheme) run by the Industries Department. Solar under the scheme due to lack of net income in the scheme due to various reasons Not much interest is being taken by the residents of the state for the establishment of the power plant.
