The Central Pollution Control Board, (CPCB) on March 09, 2023, issued a notification inviting comments and suggestions on "Guidelines for Handling and Management of Jarosite"
As per the mandate given under the footnote of Schedule-1 of Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, CPCB has prepared a draft of Guidelines for Handling and Management of Jarosite. The same is mentioned in the document attached.
It is requested that comments and suggestions, if any, may please be communicated by March 31, 2023, for the finalization of said guidelines.
