Govt. of Goa notified regarding the maximum quantity of liquor which can be transported or possessed within the State

Commercial ComplianceThe Government of Goa, on March 17, 2023, issued a notification regarding the maximum quantity of liquor which can be transported or possessed within the State

This Notification shall remain in force on March 24, 2023, March 25, 2023, and March 27, 2023, in view of Bye- -Elections of seven vacant wards of Village Panchayats.

The following has been stated namely: -

• This has a reference to the Notifications No. 2/6/2014-Fin(R &C)(A)/1386 dated August 28, 2014, and No. 2/6/2014-Fin(R&C)(B)/1389 dated August 28, 2014, both published in the Official Gazette stating the maximum quantity of liquor that can be transported, from one place to another without permit, within the State of Goa 

• The maximum quantity of liquor which can be possessed by any person within the said area, without a permit issued thereunder during the period from March 24, 2023, March 25, 2023, and March 27, 2023, in view of polling day and counting of votes for the Bye-Elections to seven vacant wards of Village Panchayats 2023 is as follows: -

(a) Three-quart bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor or foreign liquor other than beer and six bottles of beer of 650 ml. for any person including his family.

(b) Three-quart bottles of country liquor for anyone including his family.
