The Government of Karnataka on March 15, 2023, issued the Karnataka Inland Fisheries (Conservation, Development and Regulation) Rules, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Water bodies are classified as Tanks and Reservoirs and river stretches
• The Disposal of fisheries rights have been mentioned in the rules
• The procedure for renewal of the lease has been stated
• Forms have been attached to the notification
This shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette
Any objection or suggestion may be sent within 30 days from March 15, 2023, to the Secretary to Government, Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
