The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAHD) on March 20, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Animal Husbandry Practices and Procedures) Rules, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The procedure of Animal Husbandry has been stated in the rules
• The manner of castration has been given
• The Manner for dehorning and disbudding has been stated
• The Manner of Euthanasia in animals has been stated
• Contravention of any of the provisions of these rules shall be a punishable offence and shall be punished
This has come into force on March 20, 2023
