The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution, (MoCAFPD) on March 24, 2023, published the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Amendment (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011
These rules shall come into force on March 24, 2023
The following has been amended namely: -
• In the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) (Amendment) Rules, 2022, in rule 1, which states “Date of enforcement"
in sub-rule (2), for the figures, letters, and words “1st day of April 2023”, the figures, letters, and words “1st day of June 2023” shall be substituted.
