The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on March 24, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Revision in Transaction Charges.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Circular no. NSE/FA/46730 dated December 18, 2020, has been referred to which specifies ‘Revision in Transaction Charges”. The circular stated that there was a marginal increase in its transaction charges in the Cash Market Segment and Equity Derivatives Segment. This was mainly done to augment the IPFT corpus of the exchange in view of certain market exigencies due to broker member defaults at that point in time.
• Exchange has now decided to roll back the said increase in the transaction charges levied to the Trading members
• Tables of the revised transaction charges for Cash Market, Equity Futures, and Equity options.
• It has also been decided to recalibrate the contribution to NSE IPFT from the existing Rs.0.01 per crore of the traded value to Rs.10 per crore of the traded value in the Cash Equities Market Segment & Equity Futures and from the existing Rs.0.01 per crore of the traded value (premium value) to Rs.50 per crore traded value (premium value) in Equity Options.
This will be in effect from April 01, 2023
