The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on March 24, 2023, issued a notification regarding ESI coverage in all East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi districts, Meghalaya.
The Central Government at this moment appoints April 01, 2023, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act, namely,
•sections 38 to 43 and sections 45A to 45H of Chapter IV.
•sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V.
•sections 74, and 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of sections 76, 80, 82, and 83 of Chapter VI.
Shall come into force in all the areas of East Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi districts, in addition to the already notified areas of the said districts, in the State of Meghalaya.
