The Government of Madhya Pradesh on March 30, 2023, issued a notification regarding the exemption of the duty chargeable in favor of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
This shall come into force from April 01, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the government exempts the duty charge chargeable, under article 25 of schedule 1-A of the act which states “Counterpart or duplicate of any instrument chargeable with duty and in respect of which the proper duty has been paid” on the instruments of sale of properties designated as EWS units in projects duly registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), executed by the developer in favor of a person of "economically weaker section (EWS)”
