The Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh on April 06, 2023, published the Himachal Pradesh Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management), Amendment Bill, 2023 to further amend the Himachal Pradesh Ground Water (Regulation and Control of Development and Management) Amendment Bill, 2005
This shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification appoint in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh.
The following has been amended namely: -
• In Rule 21 which states “Offences and penalties” shall be amended as follows: -
“for the words and sign “imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years or with a fine which may extend to ten lakh rupees, or with both”, the words “a fine which may extend to ten lakh rupees” shall be substituted”
