The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on April 10, 2023, issued a notification to exempt rice in the husk (paddy or rough), of seed quality, from an export duty of 20%.
Hereby makes amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 55/2022-Customs, dated October 31, 2022, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 796(E), dated October 31, 2022.
In the said notification, in the TABLE, -
- Against S. No. 1, in column (2), for the entry, the entry “1006 10 90” shall be substituted.
- After S. No. 1 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely: 1A.1006 10 10 Rice in the husk (paddy or rough), of seed quality Nil-”
This notification shall come into force on April 11, 2023.
