The Government of Haryana on August 26, 2022, published the Haryana Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation, and Management) Authority (Second Amendment) Act, 2022 to further amend the Haryana Water Resources (Conservation, Regulation, and Management) Authority Act, 2020
The following has been amended namely: -
• In Section 18 which provides “Tariff for use or disposal of water” the following section shall be substituted, namely: -
“18. Tariff for bulk and treated wastewater - The Authority shall decide tariffs for bulk water uses of surface water and of treated wastewater on the principles of economy, efficiency, equity, and sustainability. The tariff shall be based on volumetric measurements of water consumption and shall be designed reasonably.”
