The Government of Haryana on August 22, 2022, issued the Haryana Municipal (Amendment) Act, 2022 to further amend the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Section 128 which states “Regulation of offensive and dangerous trade” has been substituted namely: -
“Place/premises not to be used for certain purposes without licence”
• Section 128A stating “Prohibition of keeping animals or birds in municipal area” has been inserted.
• Section 131A which states “Fee and time period for license” has been inserted
• Section 249 which states “Action of Deputy Commissioner to be immediately reported” has been substituted.
