The Government of Madhya Pradesh on April 18, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Madhya Pradesh Municipality (Trade Licensing) Rules, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The rules shall extend to the entire area under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Nagar Parishads.
• No person shall be permitted to carry out any trade, within the municipal limit, without obtaining a Trade Licence from that concerned municipality.
• The Trade licence fee shall be payable in advance at the time of grant of licence or at the time of renewal, as the case may be, for the entire period of the validity of the Licence
• The conditions for use of a Trade Licence have been stated
• Forms are attached to the rules
This shall come into force on April 18, 2023
