The Government of Kerala on April 24, 2023, issued a notification regarding the entrance exam for school admissions of children below 6 years.

The following has been stated namely: -

The Administering of an entrance test or interview to enroll children under six years of age in LKG, UKG classes, or preschools is a violation of the Right to Education Act. 

Classes for upper primary level students should not be held during the mid-summer break.
