Labour Compliance The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on April 25, 2023, enforced certain provisions of the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 in all the areas of Kavaratti, Agatti, and Minicoy Islands in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The following provisions have come into force: -

1. Sections 38 to 43 and sections 45A to 45H of Chapter IV

2. Sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V

3. Sections 74, 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of sections 76, 80, 82, and 83 of Chapter VI

This shall come into force on May 01, 2023
